Trek 2008

John and I had an opportunity to go on Trek this last Summer.  We went as a Ma and Pa.  It was an amazing experience.  We had about 10 kids in our group, and they were great.  We walked around 50 miles in 2 and a 1/2 days.  We pushed and pulled a hand cart the whole way.  It was exhausting and very rewarding at the same time.  We were able to catch just a tiny glimpse of what the pioneers went through.  But we had coats, good walking shoes, warm sleeping bags, and lots of food.  It's so humbling to think of what the pioneers didn't have, but all they needed was faith.  They were amazing.  We had a lot of fun with the youth of the church and the other ma's and pa's.  We would LOVE to do it again.
